“Residents’ family members have to be able to go to their own homes at night and say to themselves: ‘We’re comfortable that our Mom is safe and secure.  We’re comfortable that the people taking care of her know her and understand her.’  If they’re going to go home and worry, what’s the point?”
– Gloria Alexander, RN

You Can Keep Your Own Doctor
Unlike many long-term-care facilities, RCC does not require residents to sever their relationships with the physicians who cared for them before they came here.

While we have a on-site and on-call physician services and numerous consulting specialists, you are free to choose to continue to be treated by your personal care physician.

Language Diversity
People with limited English-speaking ability often have a difficult time adapting to long-term-care settings, especially when no one else in the facility speaks the same language they do.

Here at Roosevelt, thanks to more than 50 staff volunteers, our Language Bank offers resident translation services in almost two dozen languages and dialects.

The multilingual staff members help residents communicate with the medical and nursing staffs, but many of them also make time to visit and chat with the residents with whom they share a common language.

Languages & dialects spoken fluently by RCC Staff:

  • Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin dialects)
  • French
  • French Creole
  • German
  • Greek
  • Hungarian
  • Indian (Gujarti, Hindi, Malayalam, Marathi and Kokani Sknkari)
  • Italian
  • Polish
  • Portuguese
  • Russian
  • Spanish
  • Slovak
  • Tagalog (Filipino)
